What to do on site
Hiking trails - WALKING
The Maison de la Forêt is the starting point for 7 hiking trails marked out by members of the Club Vosgien.
Many of the region's treasures are revealed to walkers: the Achiffet rocks, the Ton chapel, the Chapelotte pass, the Val-et-Châtillon waterfall, the Saint-Sauveur Abbey..
The trails are graded by level and are adapted to suit different audiences: families, hikers, experts... Distances vary, from 6.5 km for novices to 23 km for the most experienced hikers!
A map showing the 7 circuits is available free of charge from reception (on request).

Hosting exhibitions - VOYAGER
The Maison de la Forêt presents temporary exhibitions for the general public, providing an opportunity to see and understand the world around us. Each year, the themes are renewed to encourage as many people as possible to come and return.
Since its opening in 2016, the Maison de la Forêt has hosted over 10 temporary exhibitions on a variety of subjects: fauna, flora, hunting, mycology, sculpture, painting..
Regular events - SHARE
Every year, from April to October, the Maison de la Forêt hosts a variety of events.
Indoors or outdoors, for young and old alike, these are all opportunities to share knowledge and experience the emotions of discovery together.
Speakers from the region come to share their ideas, their little secrets and their passion, to give everyone the keys to understanding the world around us - a wonderful excuse for discovery!
Playground in the Trees - FUN
Since summer 2024, we've been offering a new play area in the trees.
This large-scale project, built by Amazone Adventure and secured with a shock-absorbing floor by Damien Leclerc Paysage, takes the accrobranche principle and revisits it to create a family area accessible at all times.
Come and enjoy this playful space, designed with the environment in mind
for children aged 3 to 14.
You'll find 9 different games spread over 4 islands, including a ground zip-line.
This project was made possible thanks to financial support from the European LEADER program, covering around 70% of the costs.
