Le sentier conté - WONDER
Edwig and the fantastic creatures:
in search of the sacred hazelnut!
There are legends that pinch the heart and capture the spirit,
Sparks of dreams that shake up life and summon the marvellous..
This walking trail, located behind the Maison de la Forêt, is an invitation to travel and discover the marvellous.
To enjoy the audio walk, simply go to the reception desk, where you'll be given an MP3 player (with headphones or portable speaker).
Along the way, wooden sculptures representing the characters in the story await you, immersing you in the fantastic world of Edwig the squirrel.
Route 500m. Open to all, free of charge. Accessible in July and August.
Accessible during Maison de la Forêt opening hours (excluding events).

Hiking trails - WALKING
The Maison de la Forêt is the starting point for 7 hiking trails marked out by members of the Club Vosgien.
Many of the region's treasures are revealed to walkers: the Achiffet rocks, the Ton chapel, the Chapelotte pass, the Val-et-Châtillon waterfall, the Saint-Sauveur Abbey..
The trails are graded by level and are adapted to suit different audiences: families, hikers, experts... Distances vary, from 6.5 km for novices to 23 km for the most experienced hikers!
A map showing the 7 circuits is available free of charge from reception (on request).
Rent an electrically-assisted vehicle - GET AWAY
Electrically-assisted vehicles are available for hire, providing a fun and environmentally-friendly way to explore the surrounding countryside without getting too tired! Two adult mountain bikes are currently available, to go further and more easily thanks to pedaling assistance.

Hosting exhibitions - VOYAGER
The Maison de la Forêt presents temporary exhibitions for the general public, providing an opportunity to see and understand the world around us. Each year, the themes are renewed to encourage as many people as possible to come and return.
Since its opening in 2016, the Maison de la Forêt has hosted over 10 temporary exhibitions on a variety of subjects: fauna, flora, hunting, mycology, sculpture, painting..
Regular events - SHARE
Every year, from April to October, the Maison de la Forêt hosts a variety of events.
Indoors or outdoors, for young and old alike, these are all opportunities to share knowledge and experience the emotions of discovery together.
Speakers from the region come to share their ideas, their little secrets and their passion, to give everyone the keys to understanding the world around us - a wonderful excuse for discovery!
