Far removed from the clichés of the eco-friendly hippie, environmental workers, whether they are rangers, scientists, business leaders or organic farmers, have chosen to live and work in accordance with their convictions. They may be considered pioneers. In order to stay as close as possible to the imagery and imagination of the pioneer, Far East was produced entirely using the ancient wet collodion process, used by the first photographers who travelled across the American West.

Le Sonneur at Ventre Jaune (Democracy to the Rescue of Life)

How can we create democratic spaces that allow all points of view to coexist? This show follows the fate of a tiny toad caught up in debates between loggers, machine operators, scientists and naturalists. All of them lean over, perplexed, above the rut where the amphibian has chosen to reproduce.
A story born from field research, performed by Vincent Clergironnet and accompanied on the cello by Éléonore Zielinski. A show hosted in Emberménil, on the edge of the Parroy Forest, where this little amphibian has made its home.
